Technical Description
The NIRX NIRSport2 is a portable, high-density functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS) platform designed for multi-channel hemodynamic imaging of the cerebral cortex. This wearable, wireless neuroimaging system measures real-time changes in oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin concentrations caused by localized neural activity. Engineered with an 8×8 source-detector configuration, it offers robust multi-modal integration, highly stable optical shielding, and an ambulatory form factor. It serves as an essential tool for cognitive neuroscience research, mobile brain-body imaging (MoBI), and clinical neuroengineering applications where standard confined imaging methods are impractical.
Technical Features & Capabilities
- Ambulatory Cortical Imaging: Features an ultra-lightweight, wearable design optimized for real-time functional neuroimaging in dynamic, real-world environments.
